SICILY. Kamarina. Circa 405 BC. Litra (Silver, 12 mm, 0.72 g, 11 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with a hippocamp. Rev. KAMAPINAIA Nike advancing slowly to left, holding wreath in her right hand and kerykeion in her left. Westermark & Jenkins 210 (same dies). Very rare and among the best of very few examples known. Beautifully toned and struck from dies of enchanting Classical style. Somewhat rough, otherwise, about extremely fine.
